Steaming (Recommended): Arrange the frozen black buns inside a lined bamboo or metal steamer basket. Place over a pot of rolling, boiling water and steam on medium-high heat for 10 to 12 minutes until puffy, piping hot, and soft to the touch.
Microwave: Place 2 to 3 frozen buns onto a microwave-safe plate and cover them entirely with a damp paper towel. Microwave on high power for 1 to 1.5 minutes (at 800W) until thoroughly warmed through.
