How to use?	Prepare the Rice Cakes: If you’re using store-bought Korean rice cakes, skip to step 2. Otherwise, follow these instructions to make your own: Use garatteok (가래떡), which are long, cylindrical white rice cakes made with non-glutinous rice flour. Cut them into thin slices (if using thick rice cakes, cut them shorter). Soak the rice cakes in warm water for about 20 minutes to soften them. Make the Gochujang Sauce: In a saucepan, combine the following ingredients: Gochujang (Korean chili pepper paste) Gochugaru (Korean red chili flakes, adjust to taste) Other seasonings like garlic, soy sauce, and sugar (customize to your preference). Add water to create a flavorful base. Cook the Rice Cakes: Heat a cast iron skillet or non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Melt some butter and add minced garlic. Cook for about 2 minutes. Add the soaked rice cakes and cook until they get slightly crispy (about 5 minutes). Add the Sauce and Cheese: Pour the gochujang sauce over the rice cakes and mix well. Top with grated mozzarella cheese (or any cheese you prefer). Broil Until Bubbly: Place the skillet under the broiler until the cheese is browned and bubbly. Serve Hot: Garnish with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds. Enjoy your cheesy, umami-rich Cheese Tteokbokki!
