Cultivated in Italy, this rice is a new variety of Koshihikari (a type of Japonica rice), grown using traditional Japanese growing methods and prepared with the outer bran layer kept on, which gives the rice extra nutritional benefits and a slightly nutty flavour. Use every day as a side dish to a Japanese meal, or mould into sushi and onigiri rice balls.
