Recipe Idea: Vietnamese Pho
Ingredients:
First World Brand Gia Bao Bun Tuoi Rice Noodle (1.2mm, 500g)
200g beef brisket or chicken breast, thinly sliced
1 onion, halved
2-inch piece of ginger, sliced
4 cups beef or chicken broth
2 tablespoons fish sauce
1 tablespoon sugar
1 cinnamon stick
2 star anise
1 tablespoon coriander seeds
Fresh herbs (basil, cilantro), bean sprouts, lime wedges, and chili slices for garnish
Instructions:
Prepare Broth:Char the onion and ginger by placing them under a broiler or over an open flame until slightly blackened.
Simmer Broth:In a pot, combine the charred onion and ginger with the broth, fish sauce, sugar, cinnamon stick, star anise, and coriander seeds. Bring to a boil, then lower the heat and simmer for 30–60 minutes.
Prepare Noodles:While the broth is simmering, prepare the Gia Bao rice noodles as per the "How to Use" instructions.
Assemble Pho:Place the cooked noodles in bowls. Strain the hot broth to remove solids and pour it over the noodles. Top with thinly sliced beef or chicken, and garnish with fresh herbs, bean sprouts, lime wedges, and chili slices.
Serve:Serve the pho hot and enjoy!
These noodles are also excellent in stir-fries, hot pots, or served cold with a sesame dressing.
