Kohlrabi is a type of vegetable that closely associated with the cabbage family, and thus is also known by other names including ‘turnip cabbage’ and ‘cabbage turnip’. Despite the name, it is little related to the turnip species apart from the similarity of kohlrabi’s tuber part which is as fleshier as that of turnips. Vietnam and India have the culture of using kohlrabi vegetable in their cuisines rather than other Asian countries.
