The curry tree with the scientific name ‘Murraya Koenigii’ is native to India and Sri Lanka. Curry leaves are used as a spicy additive in South Indian cuisines, especially in Kerala dishes. These aromatic dark green leaves are different from the bay leaves. Although they may look very similar the difference in their aroma and flavour is great. Curry leaves can be used as generously as required.
