Ingredients: 1 hairy gourd (loofah), peeled and cut into chunks 500ml chicken or vegetable broth 2 salted egg yolks, mashed 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water Salt and pepper to taste Instructions: Cook the Gourd: In a pot, bring the chicken or vegetable broth to a boil. Add the hairy gourd chunks and cook until tender. Add the Salted Egg: Once the gourd is cooked, add the mashed salted egg yolks to the pot. Stir until the soup turns a creamy yellow color. Thicken the Soup: Gradually pour in the cornstarch slurry, stirring constantly until the soup reaches your desired thickness. Season and Serve: Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot. Tips: For a richer flavor, you can add a splash of milk or cream to the soup. If you don't have salted egg yolks, you can use a combination of egg yolks and a pinch of salt.
