Shoyu is the Japanese name for soya sauce which is made of soya beans and wheat. Meridian Shoyu Saoya sauce is full-bodied, which is made from whole soya beans and not chemically processed soya meal. The presence of wheat gives the Japanese shoyu a subtle sweet flavour. Just like normal soya sauce, Meridian shoyu also features a dark colour, as they are made of fermented soya beans.
