1. Prepare the Sushi Rice:

• Cook Japanese short-grain rice according to package instructions.
• While the rice is still warm, transfer it to a large bowl.   
   
• Prepare sushi vinegar by mixing rice vinegar, sugar, and salt to your taste (a common ratio is 2 tablespoons rice vinegar, 1.5 tablespoons sugar, and 1 teaspoon salt per cup of uncooked rice, but adjust to your preference). Heat the mixture gently until the sugar and salt dissolve.
• Pour the sushi vinegar over the warm rice and gently mix it in using a cutting motion with a rice paddle or wooden spoon. Be careful not to mash the rice.
• Allow the seasoned rice to cool to room temperature.

2. Prepare the Inari Age Pouches:

• Gently open each pouch by carefully separating the edges. They form little pockets.

3. Fill the Inari Age:

• Take a small handful of the cooled sushi rice and gently form it into a small, oblong shape.

• Repeat this process for all the Inari Age pouches and the remaining rice.

• Arrange the filled Inarizushi on a serving plate.

• Gentleness is key: Be gentle when opening the Inari Age pouches to avoid tearing them.
