Fresh Pomelo in Dublin. Pomelo is a fruit which belongs to the citrus family (which includes lime, orange and lemon). Pomelo is known by several other names including ‘Shaddock’ (English) and Jabong (in Hawai islands). It has striking similarity with the grapefruit, another citrus fruit, which tastes and looks almost similar to pomelo. Pomelo is used in marmalade, conserves, desserts, salads and drinks, and is also eaten raw especially in Southeast Asia.
