How to use?	How to Use: Rinsing: Pour the desired amount of chickpeas into a colander and rinse them thoroughly under cold running water. This helps to remove any dust or debris. Soaking (Essential): Place the rinsed chickpeas in a large bowl and cover them generously with cold water. Allow them to soak for at least 6-8 hours, or preferably overnight. The chickpeas will significantly increase in size as they absorb water. For a quicker soak, you can boil the chickpeas in water for 2 minutes, remove from heat, and let them stand covered for 1 hour. Draining and Rinsing (Again): After soaking, drain the chickpeas completely and rinse them again under cold running water. Cooking: Stovetop: Transfer the soaked and rinsed chickpeas to a saucepan and cover them with fresh cold water (about twice the volume of the chickpeas). Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer gently for 60-90 minutes, or until the chickpeas are tender. Cooking time may vary depending on the age and variety of the chickpeas. You can test for doneness by pressing a chickpea between your fingers – it should be easily mashable. Pressure Cooker: Place the soaked and rinsed chickpeas in the pressure cooker and cover them with fresh cold water (follow your pressure cooker's instructions for the appropriate water-to-chickpea ratio). Cook at high pressure for the time specified in your pressure cooker's manual (typically around 15-20 minutes). Allow the pressure to release naturally. Seasoning (Optional): You can add salt and other seasonings to the cooking water during the last 15-20 minutes of cooking for added flavour. However, some prefer to add salt after cooking as it can sometimes affect the tenderness of the beans.
