• The Rolling Boil: Bring a generous pot of water to a rolling boil (use a 1:10 ratio of pearls to water, as they expand significantly and soak up liquid). Never wash or soak the small pearls before cooking, or they will dissolve in your hands. 
• Flash Cook: Drop the dry pearls directly into the boiling water and stir continuously for 2 to 3 minutes to prevent them from clumping or settling at the bottom. 
• The Slow Simmer: Lower the heat slightly, cover with a lid, and let it simmer for 10 minutes. 
• The Essential Rest: Turn off the heat entirely. Leave the pot covered and undisturbed for 10 to 15 minutes. This traps residual steam to clear up any tiny white chalky cores left in the center. 
• Shock & Rinse: Drain the fully translucent pearls through a fine mesh sieve and rinse thoroughly under running cold tap water to wash away excess gooey surface starches
