Sesame Paste

Sesame Paste is a condiment used mostly in East Asian and Mediterranean cuisines. The Mediterranean version is called Tahini paste. The sesame paste or sauce is made with ground and roasted sesame seeds and has a thick texture. Asian cuisines, especially the Chinese cuisine is notable for its remarkable usage of sesame paste in its dishes. Sesame or tahini paste can be used as a dipping sauce, salad dressing, and in many other ways. There are brown and light colour variants of tahini.
