Chinese Traditional Lantern 14" - Large Fú (Fortune) 2pcs

A 14 inch sized traditional Chinese lantern with a message which is translated as ‘blessings’. This product comes as a pair of two similar lanterns. Traditionally, a Chinese lantern appears in a red colour with a Chinese greeting imprinted on it with golden letters. According to Chinese, the red colour symbolises happiness, while the golden colour stands for wealth. As a whole, a Chinese red lantern symbolises bright future.

Chinese lanterns are traditional paper-made decorations used since the Imperial period in China. They were referred to simply as paper lanterns and known by the Chinese name ‘Denglong’. Nowadays, paper lanterns are more associated with Chinese festivities and Chinese culture in general to the outside world.
