Ajinomoto is a well known Japanese food ingredients manufacturing company. The phrase ‘aji no moto’ simply means ‘essence of taste’ in the Japanese language. Perhaps, the brand is most known as producer of ‘monosodium glutamate’ which is the source of the flavour ‘umami’. Apart from MSG, Ajinomoto is also manufacturing a number of other food products including traditional frozen gyoza dumplings, breading mixes, chicken powder, and so on.
