LAO GAN MA (LGM)

Lao Gan Ma is perhaps the best known Chinese brand producing a range of chilli sauces and chilli oil varieties. The phrase ‘Lao Gan Ma’ simply means ‘old grandmother’ in the Chinese language. The company was set up in the province of Guizhou by a Chinese woman named ‘Tao Hubai’ during 1990s. LaoGanMa brand is credited with popularising oriental chilli sauces and chilli oils to the rest of the world through the condiments the brand manufactured based on Chinese traditional recipes.
