Ingredients

For the Char Siu Pork

  • 350g pork loin
  • 4 tbsp Lee Kum Kee Char Siu Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Lee Kum Kee Premium Oyster Sauce

To Serve

  • Noodle soup made with chicken stock
  • Spring onions, finely sliced

Method

1. Marinate the pork

Place the pork loin in a bowl.

Add 1 tbsp Lee Kum Kee Premium Oyster Sauce and 3 tbsp Lee Kum Kee Char Siu Sauce.

Mix well, making sure the pork is evenly coated.

Cover and marinate for at least 30 minutes. For deeper flavour, marinate overnight in the refrigerator.

2. Roast the pork

Preheat the oven to 190°C.

Place the marinated pork on a baking tray and roast for 20 minutes.

Turn the pork over and roast for another 20 minutes, or until fully cooked.

3. Glaze the pork

Brush the remaining 1 tbsp Char Siu Sauce over the pork.

Turn off the oven and leave the pork inside to rest for a couple of minutes.

4. Slice and serve

Remove the pork from the oven and allow it to rest briefly before slicing.

Slice the Char Siu Pork into thin pieces.

Place the slices on top of noodle soup made with chicken stock and garnish with finely sliced spring onion.

Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For better flavour: Marinate the pork overnight if possible.
  • Check the pork: Cooking times can vary depending on the thickness of the pork loin. Make sure it is fully cooked before serving.
  • For Char Siu Noodle Soup: Serve the sliced pork over noodles in a hot chicken stock-based broth.
  • Serving ideas: Char Siu Pork can also be served with steamed rice, fried rice or stir-fried noodles.
