How to Use SPICE KITCHEN Berbere Spice Blend Tin 80g

A bold and smoky Ethiopian blend with paprika, chilli, garlic, and fenugreek, Berbere adds instant warmth and depth to savoury dishes. Perfect for stews, marinades, and roasted vegetables.

1. Ethiopian-Style Stew

Ingredients:

• 2 tbsp Berbere Spice Blend

• 500g beef, lamb, or lentils

• 1 onion (chopped), 2 tomatoes (diced)

• 2 tbsp oil, salt to taste

Instructions:

1. Sauté onion until golden, then add Berbere and fry briefly.

2. Add tomatoes and meat or lentils; stir well.

3. Add water and simmer until tender and rich. Serve with rice or flatbread.

2. Spicy Roast Vegetables

Ingredients:

• 2 tsp Berbere Spice Blend

• 2 tbsp olive oil

• 500g vegetables (cauliflower, carrots, sweet potato)

Instructions:

1. Toss vegetables with oil and Berbere.

2. Roast at 200°C for 25–30 minutes until crisp and caramelised.

3. Berbere Butter Sauce

Ingredients:

• 1 tsp Berbere Spice Blend

• 2 tbsp butter

• 1 tsp lemon juice

Instructions:

1. Melt butter in a pan, stir in Berbere, and cook for 1 minute.

2. Add lemon juice and drizzle over grilled meats, fish, or vegetables.
