Thawing Instructions

For optimal texture and flavor, it's recommended to cook the bitter melon directly from frozen. However, if you prefer to thaw it:

• Refrigerator Method: Place the sealed package in the refrigerator and allow it to thaw overnight.

• Cold Water Method: Submerge the sealed package in cold water for 1–2 hours until thawed.

Note: Avoid using hot water or microwaving to thaw, as this can affect the texture and quality of the bitter melon.

Cooking Methods

Once thawed, bitter melon can be used in various recipes:

1. Stir-Frying

• Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.

• Add garlic or onions and sauté until fragrant.

• Add the bitter melon slices and stir-fry for 5–7 minutes until tender.

• Season with soy sauce, salt, or spices to taste.

2. Boiling

• Bring a pot of water to a boil.

• Add the bitter melon slices and boil for 2–3 minutes.

• Drain and rinse under cold water to reduce bitterness.

• Use in soups or curries as desired.

3. Stuffed Bitter Melon

• Hollow out the bitter melon slices.

• Stuff with a mixture of minced meat, spices, and herbs.

• Steam or simmer in a flavorful broth until cooked through.

4. Bitter Melon Soup

• Combine the bitter melon slices with broth, ginger, and other vegetables.

• Simmer until all ingredients are tender.

• Season with soy sauce or salt to taste.

Storage Instructions

• Before Opening: Keep frozen at -18°C or below.

• After Opening: Store any unused portion in an airtight container and return to the freezer promptly.
