Recipes
1. Teriyaki Chicken
Ingredients :
4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
¼ cup KIKKOMAN Naturally Brewed Soy Sauce
¼ cup Marukin Mirin
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon sake (optional)
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon grated ginger
Instructions :
In a bowl, mix soy sauce, mirin, sugar, sake, garlic, and ginger.
Add the chicken thighs and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Heat a pan over medium heat and cook the chicken for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked.
Pour the remaining marinade into the pan and cook until it thickens into a glaze.
Serve with steamed rice and vegetables .
2. Niku Jaga (Japanese Meat and Potato Stew)
Ingredients :
200g thinly sliced beef
2 potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
1 onion, sliced
1 carrot, sliced
2 tablespoons KIKKOMAN Naturally Brewed Soy Sauce
2 tablespoons Marukin Mirin
1 tablespoon sugar
1 cup dashi stock (or water)
Instructions :
In a pot, combine dashi stock, soy sauce, mirin, and sugar. Bring to a boil.
Add the beef and cook until it changes color.
Add potatoes, onion, and carrot. Simmer for 20-30 minutes until the vegetables are tender and the flavors are well combined.
Serve hot, garnished with green onions if desired .
3. Japanese-Style Grilled Salmon
Ingredients :
4 salmon fillets
3 tablespoons KIKKOMAN Naturally Brewed Soy Sauce
3 tablespoons Marukin Mirin
1 tablespoon sake (optional)
1 tablespoon sugar
Instructions :
In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, mirin, sake, and sugar.
Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Let it marinate for 15-20 minutes.
Preheat a grill or a broiler. Cook the salmon for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
Serve with a side of steamed vegetables or a fresh salad .
