Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Sushi Rice:

    • Rinse the KOJIMA Sushi Rice under cold water until the water runs clear.

    • Cook the rice according to package instructions.

    • Once cooked, allow the rice to cool slightly, then season it with sushi vinegar (optional).

  2. Prepare the Fillings:

    • Slice your choice of fillings such as cucumber, avocado, cooked shrimp, or imitation crab into thin strips.

  3. Assemble the Sushi Rolls:

    • Place one sheet of Sushi Nori on a bamboo mat, shiny side down.

    • Spread an even layer of sushi rice over the nori, leaving about an inch at the top edge.

    • Arrange your fillings horizontally across the center of the rice.

    • Roll the sushi tightly using the bamboo mat, pressing gently to seal the edge.

  4. Shape the Sushi:

    • To create "eye" shapes, cut the rolls into thick slices and use small nori strips to create "pupils."

    • For "ghost" shapes, trim the rolls into an oval shape using a sharp knife, and add nori strips as eyes and mouths.

  5. Decorate:

    • To create eerie features, use a toothpick to dot KEWPIE Mayonnaise and SB Wasabi on the rolls.

    • Sprinkle White Roasted Sesame over the rolls for added texture and flavour.

  6. Serve:

    • Arrange the Spooky Sushi Rolls on a Halloween-themed platter.

    • Serve with Pickled Ginge, Sliced Pink and soy sauce for dipping.

These Spooky Sushi Rolls are sure to be a hit at your Halloween gathering, offering a deliciously creepy treat that’s both fun to make and eat!
