Nikka Miyagikyo Single Malt is an elegant and refined Japanese whisky, crafted at the renowned Miyagikyo Distillery in Japan's lush Sendai valley. Founded in 1969 by Nikka founder Masataka Taketsuru, the distillery was built to produce a lighter, more floral and fruity style of malt whisky, providing a distinct contrast to the robust, peaty character of his first distillery, Yoichi.

• Nose: Full-flavoured and rich, with concentrated notes of iris, malted barley, and exotic fruits like banana and papaya. Hints of liquorice, white flowers, and a subtle suggestion of burnt wood and ash progressively settle over the aromatic palette.
• Palate: Firm, lively, and elegant. The palate is coated in herbaceous, liquorice, and spiced notes of ginger and cinnamon. Mid-palate flavors include chocolate, fresh tobacco leaves, and a touch of coconut, with a smooth, almost oily texture.
• Finish: Long and soft, with the scent of wilted roses and tangy notes of lemon and grapefruit balancing the sweetness. It lingers on notes of tobacco, spices, toasted nuts, and stewed fruits, finishing with exotic aromas of lychee.
