Our History
Founded by the Pau family in 1981, Asia Market grew from the need to source authentic Asian ingredients to supply a select number of Asian Restaurants and takeaways who stuggled to source authentic ingredients locally, often having to import ingredients from the UK.
The timing was perfect with the growing Asian community and Irelands love affair with Asian cuisine, the business grew steadily to become the #1 supplier of authentic Asian ingredients in Ireland. Still a family run business it is continuing with the second generation of the Pau Family.

Open for business 1981
The Pau brothers, Howard, Albert and Spencer started to plan the business and were looking for a property.
They found a suitable property on 30 Drury Street and started renovations. They invested in a van to start setting up the business.

Start Delivery 1983
Spencer and Albert decide to move to Belfast and setup another branch called the Asia Supermarket on University Street, which later moved to the Ormeau Road. It is still currently in operation and have plans to move to a bigger premises. http://asiabelfast.com/
We bought one more van and expand our delivery. We take on one driver and Howard to start to deliver to Cork, Galway, Waterford and Limerick.

Expand & New Shop opens 1991
Asia Market are ready to expand! We bought a larger property further up the road on 18 Drury Street and doors opens on June 1995.

Cash & Carry & Delivery Fleet in service 2006
Asia Market decides to setup a Retail and Cash and Carry. We buy the old tayto factory in Ballymount, Dublin 12 and setup our warehouse alongside the cash and carry and we also grew our delivery fleet to 18 trucks.

Duck Restaurant opens 2014
We setup the Duck Restaurant on Fade Street.

Cash & Carry extends 2015
We built a new extension at our retail and cash and carry branch in Ballymount so that we can serve our customer better.

Drury Street Shop renovates 2016
Start renovations in store Drury Street to make it our flagship store.
